Council of Elders

The council is comprised of all Jawoyn elders - those who have indepth knowledge of our culture.

The Jawoyn Council of Elders has been set up to recognise the important role senior Jawoyn elders play in maintaining and building culture and community. It provides a forum for elders to voice their desires and concerns, and for matters of importance to be put forward for consultation. Importantly, the council gives support and direction to the Jawoyn Board and Executive.
