Ryan Buruwei is a Jawoyn Traditional Owner and member of the board of management for Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Ryan lives on his country, at a small community of Werenbun, and is happy to share his country and his peoples' culture with you.

The Tours
LELIYN - A SPECIAL PLACE (30 minutes)
Learn why Leliyn is so special to the Jawoyn People with some stories of the creation being Bemang and Bolung. Discover some traditional uses of the native plants common to the area and finish with a swim in the plunge pool or just enjoy the spectacular scenery.
LOOKOUT WALK - BEMANG FALLS (1 hour)
This longer walk follows one of the ancient travelling routes of the Jawoyn people and explains some of their history and culture and how they looked after country. Depart Leliyn Campground, enjoy beatiful views and swim in the upper falls.

Tours are conducted between 11.00am and 2.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Fridays'. Other times available by appointment.
